First Aid Response (FAR) is a training standard developed by the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council of Ireland (PHECC). This is an independent statutory body who set the standards for training for pre-Hospital emergency care in Ireland.
There is a requirement under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007 to have a sufficient number of First Aid Responders trained and deployed in the workplace.
Employers have specifically a duty to provide first-aid materials /equipment at all places of work where working conditions require it.

This is a basic non-accredited one day course providing childcare staff with training in First Aid for children.
This course will give learners the skills and knowledge to give immediate treatment to a sick or injured child while providing support to the First Aid Response first aider, before professional help arrives.
