1. 3 Day Occupational First Aid Course - (QQI) Level 5 accredited Training
Requirement under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Regulations 2007. Max number of participants is 10.
Highly interactive course with role play & practical exercises.
What will I learn in this course?
· First aid in the workplace
· Patient Assessment/Accident scene management
· Respiratory Emergencies - Asthma, Choking
· Cardiac first response - (Adult, Child, Infant)
· The Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
· Wounds and Bleeding
· Altered Levels of Consciousness
· Injuries to bones, joints and soft tissues
· Burns, scalds, chemicals, electric shock
· Medical Emergencies - Diabetes, Epilepsy
Each theory module has associated
practical work.
Each course concludes with a written and practical assessment given by a registered external examiner.
Certification by Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) requires success in all assessments and is valid for 2 years.
Occupational First Aid Refresher QQI Level 5 is also available as a 1day course for 10 participants with valid certs.
2. Cardiac First Response Course - 4.5 hours for max 8 participants
accredited Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) CPR & AED.
Learn life saving skills of Cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Also, how to deal with life threatening situations such as Choking, Heart Attack and Stroke.

3. Paediatric First Aid - 1 Day Practical Children’s First Aid Training Course
Parents, Grandparents, Creche workers or anyone working with
children gain skills /knowledge to give immediate treatment or help minimise the
consequences of an injury until medical aid arrives.
Highly interactive course with role play & practical exercises to reinforce a 'hands-on' understanding of first aid.
What does this Children’s course cover?
- Casualty
Assessment
- Respiratory Emergencies e.g. Choking, Asthma
- Cardiac first response- CPR –Children and
infant
- Bleeding wounds and Shock in children /infants
- Allergic Reactions
- Broken Bones
- Head Injury
- Burns and scalds
- Poisoning
- Recovery Position
- Fainting, Seizures, Epilepsy and Diabetes
- Meningitis
- Electrical Injury
- Childhoods illness.
Courses can take place in venue and timings of choice.
Each course concludes with a practical and written assessment.
Participants receive a Certificate of completion which is valid for two years.
4. First aid for Mums, Dads, Grandparents and Babysitters - Half Day Course
This is a short Children’s First Aid course to suit busy people who cannot attend our full Paediatric First Aid Course.
It course covers emergencies eg CPR, choking, burns, head injuries, meningitis.
Dates and times can be arranged to suit your needs at home or in a nearby premises.
